From Bay Area
Take I-80 towards Reno. Take the Hwy 50 exit toward South Lake Tahoe, then take the Folsom Blvd exit and turn left onto Folsom Blvd. Go left at Greenback Lane, then the first left at the Negro Bar State Park entrance.
From Stockton
Take I-5 towards Sacramento and then exit Hwy 50 towards South Lake Tahoe. Take the Folsom Blvd exit and turn left onto Folsom Blvd. Go left at Greenback Lane, then the first left at the Negro Bar State Park entrance.
From Chico
Take 99 South and turn left at Hwy 20. Take a slight left at hwy 70 then merge onto hwy 65 South towards Roseville. Take the Galleria Blvd exit and turn left at East Roseville Parkway. Next, take a left at Douglas Blvd and then a right on Auburn-Folsom Blvd. Follow the two lane road until Greenback Lane and take a right. Then take your first left at Negro Bar State Park entrance.
Parking
Parking at Negro Bar is limited. We encourage you to park at other locations and ride your bike to the park on the American River Bike Trail.
From Bay Area or Stockton
Instead of taking a left at Greenback Lane, take a right and proceed over Rainbow Bridge into Folsom’s Historic District. Take a slight right onto Leidesorf Street. The parking garage and additional spaces will be on your left. On your bike proceed back down Leidesdorf Street and at the light take a left. At the next light you’ll see a bike trail on your right. Please ride over the pedestrian bridge and make a left after you’ve crossed the bridge. Eventually you’ll run into Negro Bar picnic area on your left.
Or
Take a right at Greenback Lane and proceed over the Rainbow Bridge into Folsom Historic District. At Natoma Street take a left. Then take a left at Stafford Street, continue pass the library on the right, down the hill and into Rodeo Park parking lot. Hop on your bike toward the back of the parking lot and take the paved bike trail. At the street take a left, look for the continuing bike trail on your right and take a right onto the bike trail. Ride down the trail until you come to a stop sign and take a right. Go over the pedestrian bridge and turn left. Eventually you’ll see Negro Bar on your left.
Or
Take a left at Greenback Lane and proceed past the Negro Bar entrance on your left. Keep going straight until the street turns into Madison. On your right you’ll see a Jack In The Box and a Longs Drug store. Go past both and then take the next right into the parking lot with the abandoned grocery store. Hop on your bike and go back down Madison / Greenback and turn right into Negro Bar State Park entrance. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. The street is heavily congested and there are no bike lanes on either side of the street.
From Chico
Instead of taking a right at Greenback Lane, take a left and it’s the same directions as above to Leidesdorf Street parking garage and Rodeo Park parking lot.
or
Take a right at Greenback Lane past the Negro Bar State Park entrance and follow the directions above to the Madison Parking Lot.
